Blessed with abundant wildlife and breathtaking landscapes, Zambia offers one of the finest safari experiences in Africa. In addition to sharing a border with the mighty Victoria Falls, there are also seventeen other natural waterfalls in the country which gives an indication of how beautiful this country is.

About 30% of Zambia is reserved for national parks and game management reserves. South Luangwa, Kafue and the Lower Zambezi are ranked as some of the finest wildlife reserves in the world. In addition to spotting the Big 5 guests can also see the second largest wildebeest migration in Africa which takes place in Liuwa Plains, a mesmerizing sight to witness.

What you need to know

Zambia has abundant seasonal highlights and is an attractive destination year round. Victoria Falls peaks in flood in April/May, while the green season is the prime time to view the second largest wildebeest migration in the whole of Africa. Zambia’s natural diversity lends itself to an adventurer’s paradise. There are a wide variety of experiences on offer, such as canoeing in Lower Zambezi and taking the daredevil swim in Devils Pool. Zambia is known for it’s incredible game viewing which can also be explored on foot with a guide.

Most common wall sockets require 3 pin round or 3 square pin plugs. Lodges and bush camps run on generator and solar power supplies, therefore using inverter systems to provide a 220v power supply to tents and main lounge areas.

It is a requirement that all guests travelling to Zambia be adequately covered by comprehensive travel insurance to cover all aspects of their holiday. International flights/ loss & theft/medical requirements/damage and cancellation etc. We would recommend guests organise travel insurance in home country. Sense of Africa is covered by comprehensive liability insurance for up to 20 million Botswana pula per incident.
