Day 1
MAUN
Guests arrive in Maun and are met by their guide, before boarding a scheduled light aircraft flight into the Khwai Private Reserve. Situated in the north-eastern Okavango, this vast 200 000 hectare private concession borders both the Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park, offering exceptional wildlife sightings and rich biodiversity.

Days 2–3
KHWAI PRIVATE RESERVE
Guests spend the next 2 days immersed in the abundant ecosystems of the Khwai region. Game drives traverse floodplains, riverine forests, and mopane woodlands that support elephants, leopards, lions, wild dogs, and rich birdlife. Mokoro safaris glide silently through lily-filled channels, offering a peaceful window into Delta life.
The camp offers a wide variety of activities including morning and afternoon game drives within the private concession, seasonal guided game walks led by experienced trackers, a cultural visit to Khwai Village, and an optional KPR Ranger Experience (additional cost), where guests accompany conservation rangers in predator tracking, data collection, and anti-poaching patrols—with proceeds supporting local conservation projects. They can also spend time in the ground-level photographic hide at the waterhole.

Days 4–6
OKAVANGO DELTA
Leaving the Khwai area, guests travel by scenic helicopter transfer deeper into the Okavango Delta – an inland oasis of unparalleled beauty and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This region is a seasonal floodplain pulsing with life, where islands dot open grasslands and crystal-clear channels wind between papyrus reeds.
At the lodge, guests will be able to enjoy morning and afternoon into evening game drives, tracking predators and plains game, seasonal mokoro excursions through narrow Delta waterways, birding opportunities from their tent deck, regular elephant sightings near camp, and a breathtaking scenic helicopter flight over the delta for a bird’s-eye view of this immense wetland wilderness.

Day 7
MAKGADIKGADI PANS
Today, guests will fly south by helicopter to the surreal landscapes of the Makgadikgadi Pans. Once a vast super-lake, this immense salt pan region now offers a stark, hypnotic beauty—cracked salt flats, ancient baobabs, and desert horizons that stretch endlessly. They wll have the chance to settle in at the lodge and enjoy the sunset over the pans.

Days 8–9
MAKGADIKGADI PANS
The next 2 days are spent discovering the wonder of the Makgadikgadi on a range of immersive activities. Activities vary according to the time of year, and some are only available during certain seasons. Year-round activities may include close encounters with a colony of habituated meerkats, interpretive walks with the Zu/’hoasi San Bushmen to learn about their culture and desert survival skills, day and night game drives in custom-built 4WD vehicles or optional horseback safaris for all levels of riders (additional cost).
During the dry season (April – October), guests can experience quad bike adventures across the shimmering pans (weather dependent) and stargazing , while the green season (November – March) bears witness to Africa’s second-largest zebra and wildebeest migration as animals move in search of seasonal grazing.

Day 10
DEPARTURE
After a leisurely breakfast, guests board their scheduled light aircraft flight back to Maun before continuing on their journey.
