Day 1
CAPE TOWN
Arrival at the Cape Town International Airport, collect your Rental Vehicle and proceed to your hotel where the remainder of the day is set aside for leisure.

Day 2 & 3
CAPE TOWN
The following two days are spent exploring the vibrant city and its surroundings. Optional tours/activities: Cape Town City Tour, the Two Oceans Aquarium and a Winelands tour. Visit the V&A Waterfront, Cape Point, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve Sea Point and don’t forget a visit to the top of Table Mountain!

Day 4 – 5
WELLINGTON / CAPE WINELAND
Departing Cape Town in the morning, proceed to Wellington, which lies amidst the well-known Western Cape Winelands. With its unmistakable mountain views, the award-winning Val du Charron Wine and Leisure Estate is situated in the picturesque Bovlei, 10 minutes from the town of Wellington.
With a history of winemaking dating back to 1699 Val du Charron’s wines are available worldwide but are best enjoyed surrounded by the vineyards themselves at one of the Estate’s restaurants or from your own balcony.
Wellington is home to some of the biggest vine nurseries in the Southern hemisphere so regardless of which South African wine you choose to drink; chances are high that it was born in Wellington! So where better to stay, then directly in the winelands?

Day 6
CLANWILLIAM / WESTERN CAPE
This morning you proceed through the Cedarberg Mountain Range through the area of Citrusdal, where most of South Africa’s citrus fruits are grown and the famous ‘rooibos tea’ is produced.
Your journey takes you through breathtaking mountain scenery to Clanwilliam, where you will spend the night. Your guest house is situated within the town and offers you personal service and a friendly atmosphere.

Day 7
ORANGE RIVER
An early morning departure takes you all the way north to the Orange river, which is the natural border between South Africa and Namibia. Crossing into Namibia you reach your accommodation on the banks of the Orange river, where you can relax and enjoy the last sun rays of the day.

Day 8
FISH RIVER CANYON
This morning take part in an optional guided Canoeing trip on the Orange River. This cools you off before heading the short distance north to the Fish River Canyon, set in a harsh, rocky plain dotted with drought-resistant plants. The afternoon offers us optional sundowner drive or walks in the private Gondwana Canyon Nature Reserve. The drive is the perfect opportunity for you to acquaint yourself with the geology, flora and fauna of the Gondwana Canyon Park.

Day 9 – 10
AUS & LÜDERITZ
After breakfast, travel the short distance to the viewpoint of the Fish River Canyon, take a scenic walk along the rim of the canyon to explore the area and to experience the play of shadows within the canyon as the morning progresses. After experiencing the Fish River Canyon, you travel further west to the edge of the Namibian escarpment and the Succulent Karoo to Aus, where you spend 2 nights.
The next day visit Kolmanskop ghost town. On the way to Lüderitz, stop at Garub, which is the viewing point for the Wild Horses of the Namib Desert. Kolmanskop, just 10 km outside of Lüderitz, is a deserted Diamond Mining Town in the Sperrgebiet National Park. In Lüderitz we have the option to drive a scenic route along the “Große Bucht” before return to Aus.

Day 11
NAMIB DESERT
Travel into the Namib Desert, the oldest desert on earth. Your lodge is situated close to Sesriem, the gate to 2 of Namibia’s most celebrated attractions: Sossusvlei, with some of the highest dunes on earth, and Sesriem Canyon. At your lodge, you have a wide variety of activities on offer. Alternatively, relax on the large veranda of the lodge with a view onto a frequented waterhole.

Day 12
SOSSUSVLEI
Experience the Sossusvlei area at sunrise when the light paints the dunes and desert palette into deep red, apricot and purple. –From Sossusvlei visit Deadvlei, a surreal white clay pan surrounded by monumental dunes and dotted with age-old Camelthorn trees. Travelling back, visit the Sesriem Canyon. Having returned to your lodge, cool off in the sparkling pool or take a refreshing drink in the bar.

Day 13
DEPARTURE
After a relaxed breakfast, travel up the Khomas plateau to Windhoek, where you return your rental vehicle and where the tour ends.
