Day 1
Upon arrival at the International Airport, collect your vehicle at the relevant car rental company kiosk and travel through mountainous terrain to Windhoek. The breath-taking view and beautiful garden let you unwind and relax after the long flight. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure or explore the city centre with its colonial-style buildings, street cafes and craft markets.

Day 2 & 3
This morning you travel via endless plains and alongside stunning mountain ranges into the Namib Desert, the oldest desert in the world. Your lodge is nestled on the Southern border of the NamibRand Nature reserve and offers a stunning panoramic desert landscape view. With luxury luxurious explorer styled tents situated on top of boulders, Zannier follows their internationally acclaimed philosophy of offering ultimate relaxation and services, including a Spa facility, Fitness Centre and an infinity pool to cool off during the intense heat filled hours of the day. Sonop strives for the once-in-a-lifetime experience. Additional outdoor excursions include a daily scenic sunrise drive, several activities such as group yoga, electric bike tours, open-air cinema, stargazing and horseback riding.

Day 4 & 5
After a hearty breakfast, travel the short distance to your lodge, exclusively situated near the gate to two of Namibia’s most celebrated attractions: Sossusvlei, with some of the highest dunes on Earth, and ancient Camelthorn trees at Deadvlei, offering an iconic and picturesque scenery. You have the rest of the day to relax at leisure, cool off in the sparkling pool, take a refreshing drink while overlooking the desert plains or to partake in activities such as Nature Walks or nature drives offered by the Lodge.

Day 6 & 7
After checking out you continue via the Namib Naukluft Park to Swakopmund, a tranquil coastal town situated between the Namib Desert and the Atlantic Ocean. On day two at the coast, we head out to explore its contrast and unique scenery on a guided Sandwich Harbour 4×4 Excursion. You drive to Walvis Bay where you are picked up by our guide in a 4×4 vehicle and are taken past the Saltpans, the Kuiseb River Delta towards Sandwich Harbour, and – if weather and tides allow for it – the Sandwich Harbour Lagoon. You have plenty of time to stop and take pictures and to enjoy the beautiful and unique scenery of one of the most spectacular areas in Namibia. The “roaring” dunes and lookout spots are a highlight of every tour. Lunch is served on a protected beach setting. You return between 16h30 and 17h00.

Day 8 & 9
Today you head further north, travelling along the skeleton coastline towards the Fisherman’s town of Hentisbay before turning east and heading back inland past the Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain (2.579m), into the Damaraland, one of the least populated and most geologically diverse areas in Africa. This harsh, rocky environment is home to the elusive desert elephant, the black rhino and free-roaming antelope species. Staying close to Twyfelfontein allows us easily visit Twyfelfontein, here you are accompanied by a local Damara guide on the excursion through Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO heritage site where Bushman communities engraved and painted over 2.500 pictures some 6.000 years ago! This excursion can be followed with a visit to the nearby Living Museum of the Damara. On the second day you will embark on an unforgettable nature drive in search of the Desert Elephants.

Day 10
After breakfast travel north to the famed Etosha National park, home to 114 different game as well as 340 different bird species. Your camp for tonight is situated right on the border of the Ongava Private Game Reserve where guests have a water level view of all the wild and birdlife at the waterhole and the nearby underground photographic hide. Should time permit you can already embark on an afternoon Sundowner Game Drive or simply spend your afternoon relaxing and unwinding after an adventure filled day.
Etosha Oberland – Breakfast, lunch, dinner + afternoon nature drive

Day 11 & 12
Enjoy an early morning breakfast and enjoy two full-day Game Drives taking your through all corners of the Etosha National park, travelling from west to east. You have ample time for extensive game viewing experiences. The Etosha National Park surrounds a parched salt desert known as the Etosha Pan and is home to 4 of the Big Five – elephant, lion, leopard and rhino. The park’s waterholes support a diversity of mammals and birds, including species such as black-faced impala, cheetah, and Namibia’s smallest antelope, the Damara dik-dik. Shortly before sunset, you travel back to your lodge.

Day 13 & 14
Proceed south to the home of the AfriCat Foundation which rests at the foot of the Omboroko Mountains amidst Acacia thornveld. The activities at Okonjoma can delight and educate even the most experienced of travellers. You can witness some of the foundations’ work, which is committed to researching and rehabilitating Namibia’s threatened wild cat populations. With the abundance of animal and birdlife and spectacular scenery, Okonjima is a photographer’s paradise. Activities include nature drives, AfriCat project, leopard tracking, a leopard feed, a bushman walk or the night feeds of nocturnal wildlife.

Day 15
Start the day with a scenic morning walk, and, after a leisurely breakfast, return to Windhoek where you will arrive in the early afternoon.
