Day 1
ARRIVAL
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, guests will be met and assisted by a Sense of Africa representative and transferred to their hotel in Arusha arriving in time for check in. Rest of the day at leisure. All meals are excluded.
Overnight at Mount Meru Game Lodge– Breakfast.
Day 2-3
ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, guests will drive to the Western edge of Mount Kilimanjaro to Olpopongi Maasai Village, where they spend the day in the authentic Maasai-Village “Olpopongi” and share the Maasai life. They will have a traditional Lunch before going on a walking safari in the Maasai territory and learn about Maasai hunting techniques and incredible natural medicine. Later drive back to Arusha and arrive for dinner.
The next day, guests have an early breakfast before a morning game drive in the park. They return to the lodge for lunch and then enjoy a spear throwing competition, a donkey ride, and a nature walk, all with the Maasai.

Day 4
NGORONGORO HIGHLANDS
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Ngorongoro Highlands via Mto wa mbu village. Guests enjoy local lunch at Mto wa Mbu village. Later they go on a banana plantation visit and get a chance to interact with the local community and participate in the process of brewing local banana beer. Later proceed to the Karatu area for dinner.

Day 5
NGORONGORO HIGHLANDS
After breakfast, guests drive to Mto wa Mbu village for a morning village tour to get an opportunity to explore the daily life of the local villagers in Mto wa Mbu.
Afterwards, they explore the Village by a Tuk Tuk, which is the common transport mode around the area. The Tuk Tuk Tour will give a broad chance to explore the village and interact with the local community from inner parts around the area. They then visit an authentic Maasai village in Mto wa Mbu and explore their culture and tradition, before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Day 6
LAKE EYASI
Today guests drive to the Lake Eyasi area, arriving in time for lunch at Kisimangeda Teted Camp.
Enjoy an afternoon visit to a Datoga tribe, who are characteristically known for keeping to themselves and are a tribe of proud people and fierce warriors known for their stealth ability. They are skillful and are also known for their blacksmith skills, beads works, brass bracelets, and necklaces, while also supplying arrowheads to the Hadzabe tribe. Another cultural feature that distinguishes this tribe from other tribes is their decorative tattooing around their eyes in circular patterns.

Day 7
LAKE EYASI
Guests receive a packed breakfast and then drive towards the Hadzabe tribe who are considered one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa with approximately 1,300 tribe members.
As a hunter-gatherer society, the Hadzabe have no domesticated livestock, nor do they grow or store their own food. The Hadza survive by hunting their food with hand-made bows and arrows and foraging for edible plants.
The Hadza diet is primarily plant-based but also consists of meat, fat, and honey. They create temporary shelters of dried grass and branches, and they own few possessions.

Day 8
NGORONGORO HIGHLANDS
After breakfast, guests will collect picnic lunches and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation area where they will descend to the floor of the crater for a tour. Quite possibly the most famous of all Africa’s conservation areas, this is one of the places where they stand a good chance of seeing the ‘Big 5’. Later, guests return to the lodge.

Day 9
DEPARTURE
After breakfast and check out, guests drive back to Arusha. On arrival, guests are assisted by a Sense of Africa representative and transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for outbound departure.
