WINDHOEK
Upon arrival you collect your fully equipped 4WD vehicle and proceed to Windhoek. Here you have time to stock up on supplies for the following days. Enjoy a scenic walk through the city.

Day 2 | 240 km
KALAHARI DESERT
Travelling south after breakfast, your campsite is on a private game reserve in close vicinity to a frequented waterhole. Late afternoon you can experience the Kalahari on a sundowner/nature drive (optional).

Day 3-4 | 490 km
FISH RIVER CANYON
Your route takes you to the Quiver Tree Forest. Here you find over 250 of these indigenous aloes assembled in a single area. Proceed further south to the Fish River Canyon. This canyon is regarded as one of the rare natural wonders on Earth.

Day 5 | 400 km
LÜDERITZ
Travelling past the Naute dam, visit the Naute Kristal Distillery. Continue to the edge of the Namibian escarpment and via the Succulent Karoo to the coastal town of Lüderitz. En route, you can stop at Garub to try and find some of the unique Namib Desert Horses that survive in the desert.

Day 6-7 | 240 km
SOUTHERN NAMIB
Before continuing to the southern Namib Desert, visit Kolmanskop, located just outside of Lüderitz.
Travelling north, your next stop is situated in a more solitude desert landscape along the foot of the stunning Tiras Mountains.

Day 8-9 | 370 km
NAMIB DESERT & SOSSUSVLEI
On this morning you travel north into the Namib Desert. Your lodge is surrounded by the Naukluft Mountains, here you have the afternoon at leisure.
Early the following morning, a visit to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei with its white clay-baked pan. Finish the morning with a visit to the rugged Sesriem Canyon, a gorge created by the force of the Tsauchab River.

Day 10-11 | 350 km
SWAKOPMUND
After breakfast travel to Swakopmund. En route, you will traverse the Gaub and Kuiseb Passes. You can also visit the Welwitschia plains and the Moon landscape (permit required) as you approach Swakopmund.
This town is situated between the Namib Desert and the Atlantic Ocean and offers some unique and fun activities.

Day 12 | 240 km
DAMARALAND
Travel into Damaraland, one of Namibia’s most geologically diverse areas. Enjoy dinner along the banks of the Ugab River, where, with some luck, you may be able to view the rare desert elephant.

Day 13-14 | 350 km
KAOKOVELD
Start the morning with an excursion to Twyfelfontein, a World Heritage Site. Travel further north into Kaokoland, home of the Himba.
Your camp for the night is situated along a lush, deeply eroded dry riverbed that is inhabited by a range of browsers such as kudu and duiker.

Day 15-16 | 330 km
EPUPA FALLS
After sunrise and breakfast travel further north. Once at the Epupa Falls, this spectacular water wonderland in an arid environment will have you gasping in awe.
Optional activities include visits to traditional Himba villages, scenic walks and excellent birding opportunities.

Day 17 | 180 km
KAOKOVELD
This morning travel south to the capital city of the Himba’s – Opuwo. On your way, you may come across migrating Himba people in search for better grazing for their cattle as well as wildlife species.
Just before reaching Opuwo, you can stop at a Living Museum of the Himbas experiencing this traditional and unique culture.

Day 18 | 250 km
ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Today you travel into the Etosha National Park, Namibia’s most famous wildlife park. From your campsite, you have access to a floodlit water hole that attracts a vast amount of game in the evening.
Overnight at NWR Etosha – Olifantsrus Campsite.
Day 19-20 | 500 km
ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
After sunrise you again travel through the park to another camp in the national park. The dense stands of Mopani forests support a large variety of browsers and specialised predators such as leopards.

Day 21 | 300 km
WATERBERG NATIONAL PARK
Continue to Waterberg, perfect for walks and game drives. Your campsite lies at the foot of the red sandstone cliffs with magnificent views on to the endless bush plains below.

Day 22 | 310 km
WINDHOEK
Enjoy a pre-breakfast walk before travelling south towards Windhoek. Take time to stroll through one of the large craft markets in Okahandja. Your route takes back to the capital city, Windhoek, where you check into your hotel for the night.

Day 23 | 50 km
DEPARTURE
In time for your outbound flight, travel the short distance to the international airport, where you return your rental vehicle and where your tour ends.
