Day 1-3
LIVINGSTONE
Upon arrival at Livingstone Airport, guests will be met by a representative who will transfer them by road on the 20 minute drive upstream from Victoria Falls.
Thorntree River Lodge blends a tranquil riverside setting with an eco-conscious approach. It offers a tranquil base from which to explore a wide range of awe-inspiring activities, all within easy access of the lodge. Showcasing incredible panoramic river views from its unique vantage, the shared lounge, library and dining areas are beautiful hubs of relaxation.
During their stay here, guests can enjoy sunrise and sunset boat cruises, a visit to the Zambian side of the Falls (visit to the Zimbabwean side of the Falls in low water season excluding visa fees), canoeing safari, rhino walk, game drives in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, catch and release fishing (not available in December due to breeding season), gym and spa (additional cost).
Livingstone has become a well-known destination because of its close proximity to one of the world famous 7 Natural Wonders of the World, the mighty Victoria Falls. The town itself has preserved much of its colonial character over the years but is still presents an African feel with and busy charm. Rich in scenery and heritage, Livingstone today has become the tourist heart of Zambia.

Day 4-7
SOUTH LUANGWA NATIONAL PARK
After a delicious breakfast, guests will pack up and be transferred to Livingstone Airport in time for their 1 hour flight to Lusaka Airport where they will connect to their light aircraft flight to Mfuwe airstrip (1 hour). On arrival they will be welcomed by a representative of the intimate Chikunto Safari Lodge and a safari vehicle will transfer them on a scenic drive to the camp.
Chikunto Safari Lodge is located within the South Luangwa National Park less than an hour’s drive from the National Park’s Mfuwe gate. Flanked by rolling plains, plateaus, river banks and miombo vegetation our lodge is located in an area of distinctive natural beauty and has become renowned for its prolific wildlife and spectacular game viewing.
The lodge offers a range of unforgettable safari experiences and activities tailored to suit guests time and interests. This small-scale lodge enjoys sweeping views of the Luangwa River and accommodates just 12 guests seeking a distinctive safari experience. Their 4 luxury tents and 1 family tent are each built on raised decking, with king or twin beds, mosquito nets, comfortable seating area, wardrobe and en-suite bathroom.
Bordering the Luangwa River, the northern and southern Luangwa National Parks contain some of the most breath-taking and untouched wilderness in Africa. As a result of this and the parks’ successful anti-poaching campaigns, the area has developed into a world-renowned wildlife haven. The South Luangwa National Park is renowned for its walking safari, which allows visitors to view elephant, hippo and lion close-up under the supervision of professional and knowledgeable armed guides.

Day 8-10
LOWER ZAMBEZI
After a tasty breakfast, and (time permitting) morning activity, guests will be transferred to Mfuwe Airport in time for their short flight onto Jeki Airstrip, where they will be met by a representative of Lolebezi and transferred back to camp. Set in the breath-taking, untouched wilds of the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia, Lolebezi is set on 5 hectares of protected wilderness, and the lodge has been designed to make the most of the one kilometre of private river frontage.
The Lower Zambezi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has some of the best wildlife sightings in the world. Famous for its leopard population and elephant herds, this amazing destination is best experienced on foot with one of their experienced guides.
The contemporary lodge effortlessly incorporates the luxury expected in a world-class safari camp with a modest elegance and simplicity that can only be found in the African bush. Lolebezi has 4 superior suites and 2 double family units and is fully air-conditioned, with a private plunge pool and thatched sala on the river.
Activities include morning and afternoon game drives, canoeing safari, walking safaris, catch and release shore fishing, boating, spa (additional cost) and a yoga deck.

Day 11
DEPARTURE
Guests will enjoy breakfast before they are collected and transferred back to Jeki Airstrip by game vehicle in time for their onward light aircraft flight to Livingstone Airport.
