Covid-19 testing facility at Hosea Kutako International Airport

Effective Monday 20 December 2021, Medlab provides PCR testing to both inbound and outbound travelers at Hosea Kutako International Airport.

The procedure is as follow:

International arrival:

If we are informed in advance our staff will meet the passengers in the arrival hall after Port Health PCR test validation.  Passengers are swabbed and wait for their result in the arrival hall.  Our staff will bring the result to the arrival hall.

If we are not informed in advance Porth Health personnel usually call us to collect the passenger or to swab them at our facility and bring them back to the arrival to wait for the PCR results. The tested passengers are held back by Port Health until the results are released,

Departure Passengers:

We provide PCR testing at the airport for departing passengers as well. However, passengers must allow adequate time between testing and departure.

We also have a nurse that can be called to swab the passengers at the overnight facility and they can receive their result the same day or evening.

Trusted Travel System

The Trusted Travel Platform is available and as of 15 January 2022, clients will only be allowed to enter the country if their COVID test results have been generated via the Trusted Travel Platform or checked via the Global Haven System.
