Youth Day – 16 June

Youth Day, on 16 June, is a public holiday in South Africa that commemorates the 1976 Soweto Uprising, when thousands of students protested against the inequalities of the apartheid education system. The day honours the courage and sacrifice of the youth who played a pivotal role in the country’s history. In recognition of Youth Day, our offices will be closed on Tuesday, 16 June, and will reopen on Wednesday, 17 June.
