Rwanda Covid Restrictions – Correction
All tourists including children over 5 years where applicable, visiting the country’s national parks are no longer required to present a negative COVID-19 test. Vaccination is not mandatory but on advisory basis. A mask remains mandatory for those visiting primates.
Air France Boosts African Services
Air France has launched a new route to Dar es Salaam, making it the carrier’s second flight to Tanzania. The Dar es Salaam flight, which will be an extension of the Zanzibar service, will operate three times a week, using a Boeing 787-9 aircraft with 30 seats in business class, 21 in premium economy, and 225 in economy.
Emirates and KQ Forge Partnership
Emirates and Kenya Airways announced an interline partnership yesterday (June 12), which allows customers of both airlines access to new destinations on the two airlines’ networks within a single itinerary. The agreement will provide customers with increased travel options and seamless baggage check-in to their final destination.
Restaurant Maintenance at Bluebay Hotels Zanzibar
The Management of Bluebay Beach Resort & Spa would like to bring to your attention that during the routine low season maintenance of the Resort and in the process of replacing some Makuti in their main restaurant, their Engineers observed that the structure of the roof also needed attention.
This has required the resort to close the main restaurant and do some repair work which was not anticipated. The guests have the option of dining at Sultan Sands and the Bahari Restaurant located right at the beach for all meals. Rain permitting they expect this to be completed within 2 weeks.

Ruaha-Nyerere flight special – book six nights at any of Asilia’s southern Tanzania camps combining both Ruaha and Nyerere national parks and fly for free between Ruaha and Nyerere (one way).
Asilia no longer offer Trans-Mara day trips from their camps in Naboisho due to the increased human impact on the environment and wildlife.
Asilia no longer arranges visits to local schools, but guests are more than welcome to visit students at VETA Hotel and Tourism Training Institute and The Wildlife Training College in the Mara.
