In Kenya the airports and the borders remain closed to all travellers except transporters of essential goods and repatriation flights. On 6th June 2020, the president of Kenya announced an extension of the nationwide dusk-to-dawn curfew (9pm – 4am) for a further 30 days.

With the reduced curfew hours many businesses have resumed full working hours. However, the cessation of movement in and out of the Nairobi metropolitan area and Mombasa county (where the international airports are located) has also been extended for a similar period of 30 days. Restaurants have opened, but many lodges and hotels remain closed.
