Desert & Delta Safaris Launches Tsodilo Hills Sleep-Out Camp.
We have exciting news coming in from Desert & Delta Safaris, with the launch of their new sleep-out camp from Nxamaseri Island Lodge. This overnight expedition, offers access to one of the most undiscovered UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Tsodilo Hills. The camp features unique, eco-friendly pods inspired by the traditional nomadic bushman dwellings, allowing travelers to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage and breathtaking natural beauty of the region. The sleep-out Camp is available to guests staying 3nights or more at Nxamaseri Island lodge from the 15th September 2024.
Unique experiences of the sleep-out camp include;
- Immersive Cultural Experience: Travelers will have the chance to learn about the ancient traditions of the local Bushman community.
- Historic Rock Art: Explore hundreds of rock art sites around the hills, a testament to millennia of history.
- Breathtaking Sunrise: Climbing to the summit of Botswana’s highest peak and witness a sunrise to remember.
- Unique Location: Situated in one of only two places in the world where two UNESCO World Heritage Sites – the Okavango Delta and Tsodilo Hills – meet.
The accommodation offers 3 twin/double pods (2 adults per pod maximum) and 1 family dwelling with 2 pods accommodating up to 2 adults and 2 children (under 16 years old). Maximum capacity is 8 adults and 2 children.
