At Sense of Africa, people are the greatest asset and the soul of the business with DNA built on the values the company holds most dear. Every year, 15-20 exceptional students get the opportunity for first-hand tutelage training with Sense of Africa across East Africa. They are taken through various departments for three or six months. Drivers and guides are trained every year to improve their knowledge, skills, attitudes, customer service and competencies necessary for them to effectively and efficiently guide visitors from all over the world. Sense of Africa also has ongoing training arrangements with Strathmore University and the renowned Kenya Utalii College in Nairobi for team refresher courses.

Tanzania: Temporary Closure Of Maramboi Tented Lodge Until 1st July 2025

Maramboi Tented Lodge has announced its temporary closure until July 1st 2025, due to a significant increase in the water levels of Lake Manyara. This closure is a necessary measure to ensure the safety and comfort of guests, as the lodge is unable to operate as intended under the current conditions. The lodge is awaiting the recession of the water levels to facilitate essential repairs to access roads and lodge facilities. In the interim, Maramboi Tented Lodge is actively working to reallocate existing bookings to their nearby sister properties, Burunge Baobab Tented Lodge and Burunge Tented Lodge. Guests with existing reservations will be contacted shortly with specific updates regarding their bookings. For guests who prefer to cancel their booking and make alternative arrangements, a full refund of any deposit or payment made will be issued.

Update From Heritage Hotels: Voyager Beach Resort Facilities Upgrades

Voyager Beach Resort is pleased to announce the latest progress in its ongoing enhancements, aimed at elevating the guest experience and reinforcing its commitment to excellence. The refurbishment of the reception bathrooms is now complete and the facilities have been officially commissioned. The Jahazi Conference Room space has been transformed into a state-of-the-art facility.
