Anticipated Kilaguni Airstrip Reopening

As previously communicated in November, Kilaguni airstrip closed temporarily for renovations and refurbishment. It is anticipated to re-open on 29th January 2024.

Update On Flights To Southern Tanzania

Jongomero airstrip in Ruaha has unfortunately closed indefinitely, affecting flights to/from Usangu Expedition Camp. Going forward, guests for Usangu will now fly into Msembe airstrip and will be transferred by road. Please also note that Coastal flights to Southern Tanzania have been suspended for the remainder of the season. Clients will be rebooked on either Auric Air or Fly Safari Link based on the flight schedules. The re-bookings to protect your clients will be managed by Coastal.

Zanzibar Eyes All Types Of Tourism According To Minister of Tourism and Heritage

The Minister of Tourism and Heritage, Mr Simai Mohamed Said has revealed that the Zanzibar government has set up a strategy to promote different types of tourism to attract high-class tourists in large numbers. “Leisure tourism is famous, but Zanzibar is now promoting ecotourism, cultural tourism, and conference tourism, in addition to the current historical sites,” he pointed out.

Ethiopian Airlines To Fly Daily To Toronto

Ethiopian Airlines is to boost the frequency of its flights between Addis Ababa and Toronto to daily from April 1. Currently, the airline operates five direct flights a week on the route.

Pool Renovation At Nungwi Beach Resort By Turaco Zanzibar

Nungwi Beach Resort are planning a full renovation of the main swimming pool area including all fixtures and furniture as well as partial renovation in the lobby area. The refurbishment is expected to take place between April 29th 2024 until May 31st 2024, during which the pool area will not be accessible while the lobby area will be limited to pathways to allow entrance and exit as well as a temporary reception desk for check ins and check outs.
