Tanzania: Temporary Closure Of Maramboi Tented Lodge Extended Until 1st January 2026
Maramboi Tented Lodge has announced its temporary closure has been extended until January 1st 2026, due to a significant increase in the water levels of Lake Manyara. This closure is a necessary measure to ensure the safety and comfort of guests, as the lodge is unable to operate as intended under the current conditions. The lodge is awaiting the recession of the water levels to facilitate essential repairs to access roads and lodge facilities. In the interim, Maramboi Tented Lodge is actively working to reallocate existing bookings to their nearby sister properties, Burunge Baobab Tented Lodge and Burunge Tented Lodge. Guests with existing reservations will be contacted shortly with specific updates regarding their bookings. For guests who prefer to cancel their booking and make alternative arrangements, a full refund of any deposit or payment made will be issued.
