Revised Implementation Date Of The New Gorilla & Chimpanzee Permits Tariff In Uganda
The implementation date of the July 2024 to June 2026 tariff has been moved to the 1st of April 2024. All bookings and payments up to March 31st, 2024 will therefore be using the old tariff (July 2022 to June 2024). Refunds will be done for operators who have already purchased and fully paid for permits at the new rate.

AirKenya Expands Fleet with Additional Dash 8-202
AirKenya is excited to announce the delivery of an additional Dash 8-202 in December 2023. The 37-seater aircraft is undergoing refurbishment to update its livery and interior in line with the AirKenya brand and will be ready for service in time for the busy high season period. This aircraft is AirKenya’s second Dash 8, growing their fleet size to 9 comprising the 2 Dash 8’s, 2 Dash 7’s, 3 Twin Otters and 2 Caravans.
Walking Safaris Suspended In Select Asilia Camps
Due to the muddy conditions from the heavy rains and the higher grass Asilia is no longer able to offer walking safaris from Namiri Plains due to safety concerns. Regrettably, walking safaris are suspended in the following camps: Roho ya Selous, Jabali Ridge, Sayari Camp, Oliver’s Camp & Namiri Plains for the remainder of the current season.
On another note, for any guests staying in the Lamai Wedge from mid-June to October Ubuntu Migration Camp walking safaris can be scheduled. Previously, these could be booked in camp at the time of service. For the coming season Asilia requires pre booking for the walking safaris.
