South Africa aims to lead in Astro-Tourism
South Africa positions itself as top spot for astro-tourism like Chile and the U.S. Its clear skies and wide open spaces are perfect for stargazing. This move will boost infrastructure, attract tourists, and elevate its status in space science.
The Cape Winelands Airport groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for end of 2025
The airport is designed to be “smart and green” using renewable energy and eco-friendly landscaping. Construction is expected to begin in late 2025 with completion by 2027 or early 2028.
