Table Mountain fires being monitored
Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) reported on Saturday, 27 April that lightning strikes set fires ablaze which has resulted in the closure of certain tourist activities. The fires are being monitored. Tourists are urged to avoid the area until further notice.
E-tags are no longer in use
Car Rental companies have deactivated E-toll tags, you will not be able to use it as a toll payment method at conventional toll plazas countrywide.
The drivers of the rental vehicles will be liable for payment of the required toll fees at these toll plazas in cash or by credit card. Guests should be prepared to either pay cash, or use their cards at the tollgates.
Rentals prior to 11 April 2024 will still be billed via the car rental companies.
