On 6th June, 2020 the Zanzibar Minister for Tourism, Hon. Mahmoud Khatib Kombo, announced the official reopening of Zanzibar for all regular and charter flights.
Travellers must have valid health insurance and the body temperature will be monitored upon arrival at the airport. Travellers are encouraged to apply for online e-visas prior to arrival. All tourist facilities will follow the Government’s Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs). Travellers are free to move around but will be required to wear masks in public spaces and follow social distancing guidelines.
