Kenya: Electronic Travel Authorization Challenges And Way Forward
The online eTA Application has been having challenges since a system upgrade was carried out about 12 days ago. Applicants are either unable to complete the application or unable to upload any of the required documents or do not receive the eTA once paid for. Through Kenya Tourism Foundation, we have maintained constant contact with Immigration authorities alerting them of the challenges being experienced as we seek workable solutions.
Please take note that the eTA system upgrade continues to experience deteriorated service and a number of applications are not going through smoothly. In light of this, Immigration advices that applicants should keep re-trying whenever an application fails. We also advise that applications be made at least 3 weeks before travel to give ample time to work out any challenges that may arise.
Should you have cases that require urgent attention please reach out to your tour consultant and we will do our best to assist.
