Major Convention Centre Planned For Addis Ababa
Ethiopian Airlines Group and Addis-Africa International Convention and Exhibition Centre (AAICEC) have signed an equity investment agreement to establish an international convention centre in Addis Ababa to host multiple business events. The centre is one of the airline’s major national projects after it recently held a grand opening of the largest hotel on the African continent – Ethiopian Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa.
Rwanda: Kwita Izina – 23 Baby Gorillas to Be Named on September 1
23 baby mountain gorillas born in the last 12 months will be named during the 19th Kwita Izina Gorilla Naming Ceremony scheduled to take place on September 1, Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has announced in a statement. Since the beginning of the naming ceremony first held in 2005, 374 baby gorillas have been named.
New-Look Mnemba Island Coming Soon
&Beyond Mnemba Island will be closed for extensive refurbishment from 11 January to 01 October 2024. The entire lodge will undergo a comprehensive transformation. This will include upgrading all Guest Areas and Bandas, renovating the island’s dive centres, the inclusion of a brand-new Wellness Banda, and the implementation of solar power throughout.
